This movie will be a cult favourite, fhat one shot camera take and car chase scene will be talk about by film students for a long time. That"s a ballsy move. And it paid off. I was laughing all the time while watching this movie. I was presently surprised watching this Aussie John Wick rendition. Its action packed with good acting from Chris and his co stars. I thouroughly enjoyed it and believe its his best film behind the Avernger/Thor franchise. Highly recommend.

I"ll start my review by saying that I love Chris Hemsworth since I am a huge Marvel fan. Also English is not my first language so I"d like to apologize about any of the possible mistakez, whoops, there"s one! Joking.
The fast-paced action scenes, the trembling camera work, alongside the exciting score, all excelled by giving me anxiety, extreme sensations and a huge portion of adrenalin.
Hence bravo to the director by delivering us maybe the best Action performance I"ve seen in a while! But the other problems just drag the movie down, unfortunately, and here they are:
1. The story is just so poorly and full of cliché that since the beggining I had this sensation of deja-vu. An ex-soldier, Tyler, who is now a mercenary, full of psychological burden, accepts any mission he receives, even though his life might be in danger. This one is an extraction of a Bengali kidnapped boy, Ovi, whose father is an imprisoned drug lord. Think you"ve seen this one already, don"t you? And not to forget Tyler Rake, who literally kills a bad guy with a rake(and who in the name of God keeps a rake in his 7th floor apartment, oh, oh, I think I know this one. Not to mention the other 150 bad guys he just smashes, and not one of them is smart enough to think of a smart plan to take him down. Nooo, sir! They were like: I think I really wanna get shot today, yeah... Maybe even die, we"ll see.
2. I"m pretty sure that there are also beautiful parts in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, except from the penurious, miserable areas we are constantly shown. Where are my Bengali people, we stand by you guys!
But of course, we already got used to this poorly vision American producers have about Asian/African/ or even some European states. See also the bright side of life, dear Americans, as the Pythons would say!
3. The Poor Character Development, a MAJOR PROBLEM FOR ME.
Was I supposed to care about Saju(the South-Asian-Pablo-Escobar"s right hand) who died to protect Ovi, and in the same time his family? Because I didnt"t. At all! I simply didn"t care when he died.
That Indian girl whose ancestors I"m 100% sure are the Amazons from mythological Greece. Also, didn"t see her use in the story, just because she"s so badass that she blows up a helicopter with an RPG, or because she is such an effective sniper, but not before Saju and our hero, Tyler, gets shot, I"m supposed to give her a big round of applause? Nope, I don"t buy it, sorry!
And our dear boy, Tyler. Gosh I love Chris Hemsworth. I keep waiting for the movie in which he will be able to show the world his acting skills. Surely this is not the one, but actually he did pretty well. But I didn"t care about his missing wife, didn"t care about his dead child, and obviously didn"t care about the moment - which is supposed to give us some acknowledge about who they are as persons, it fails - he and Ovi have in Tyler"s friend"s house, Gaspar(i guess. who, as a matter of fact, is ready to betray his dear friend(who saved his life in the past) for a bunch of dollars. And, you guessed, our professional mercenary, who not long ago in the movie, said that he only want his money, now is ready to save Ovi for nothing! seen this one already, stop the cliches. they fight and at the last Ovi shoots him. Later on, that little boy has no remorse for shoting and killing a man.
For me, the death of Tyler only made me sigh by the love I care for Chris, and the melodramatic score(personal sensibility) but that"s it. Not even the little kind of totem of underwater meditation Joe Russo gave us, that our hero is doing when we first met him, and wants to do it before he dies. Not only the last scene where Ovi is doing the same thing in a pool, and after he returns to the surface, we see in the backround a foggy appearence of Tyler, which gives us a little hope. Rub your eyes kid, you"re deluding yourself.
To finish this, overall this is a good action piece, really, even though it is sometimes a little improbable, but what isn"t in this World. Sam Hargrave handled the alert rythm very healthy. Joe Russo, though, maybe it is better for him, and especially for us, to keep directing superheroes and leave the writing behind, for now.
